About Us
Szyplinski Construction is located in Coon Rapids, MN and has been serving the Twin Cities and it's surrounding areas since 2008. We are proud to be family owned and operated by Jim Szyplinski and his sons Chris and Anthony Szyplinski. Jim is a fully licensed and insured Minnesota contractor that has over 25 years of experience in the field.
Szyplinski Construction offers its products from a wide variety of companies including- Certainteed, ABC Supply Company, The Roof Depot, The Home Depot, Menards, Windows by Unlimited, and Lowe's. We can also order custom products from your desired manufacturer. During your project we take care of the ordering of necessary materials. Through relationships we have built with manufacturers we can ensure all necessary materials will arrive in a timely manner to complete your project.
Storm season is fast approaching. We are equipped to handle claims with all insurance companies and are available to assist our customers throughout the process. Don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns involving storm damage.

A class action lawsuit has been taken against Certainteed allowing qualifying individuals throughout the United States to receive a cash payment as compensation for their defective products.
If your shingles appear damaged, cracked, curled, or are losing massive amounts of granules you could be eligible to make a claim for these defective products. Typical questions we receive about Certainteed claims:
If I make a claim am I required to get a new roof?
No. You are not required to re-roof your house if you make a claim. You can use the settlement money as you wish.
Will this effect my homeowners insurance?
No. This is unrelated to your insurance as it is directly through the manufacturer of your defective product. Keep in mind your insurance wont cover a defective product. You have to make the claim against the manufacturer.
How much can I expect to get?
A typical claim results in an amount between $1,000-$2,000. Its based on the brand and age of the shingle. Certain shingles can result in more. Claims are pro-rated, the longer you wait the less you will receive! The check is mailed directly to you, the homeowner!
How can Szyplinski Construction LLC help me?
As 5-star select installers for Certainteed we have the knowledge to complete your claim quickly and efficiently! We handle the entire process for you, only needing about 15 minutes of your time. Szyplinski Construction LLC will even personally drop your claim off at the Certainteed plant in Shakopee. We charge 1/3 of the claim amount up to $400. If your claim is denied, you owe us nothing! If you choose to replace your roof with us we give you the entire claim amount towards your new roof!
